While perusing Nordstrom’s spring arrivals for this seasonal collaboration—I realized that everything I felt compelled to click perfectly embodied my style for Spring. I am a creature of habit in many ways, but surely for warm weather style. If there is any season where I’m very dialed in (and have the most fun with outfits) it’s this time of year.
I have come to know what makes me feel the most like myself. A perfect outfit to me is the mix of casual and put together. I like fuss-free, less is more. Usually I let one item of the look do the talking.
Someone recently sent me a note saying they have enjoyed when I note what I love about pieces or how to specifically style things—so thought this was a lovely opportunity to break down my POV around what I lean towards.
Below you’ll find the kind of pieces that have become spring and summer mainstays…

Pieces that are a no-brainer for me always have a few things in common: they are versatile, comfortable, great quality, and have beautiful attention to detail.
Linen tops and dresses to wear in so many ways. I have both of the above styles (Faithfull is a major go-to for me for ultra chic linen things), they’re so special and flattering. They do all the heavy lifting so it’s easy to throw on simple accessories and you look effortless.
I’m either in simple flip flops—when the outfit shines and needs no support—or a fun, conversation-starter shoe, when I am feeling like leaning into something simple but want to add some whimsy. Obsessed with metallic flats teamed with a nude, tan, or brown. Most of my sandals are neutral but have cool details: like nice hardware or sleek straps. Everyone has a pop of color or two they always fall for, in my case it’s green hues and a poppy red. I have sandals in these colors, too when I want to inject something more bold.
And for my way to layer on texture, charm, and elevated touches? Raffia always, heirloom belts, and everyday jewelry. A nice shimmer SPF does wonders, too.

The last couple of summers, I started to really love cotton tees with some sort of cinching detail. I love wearing t-shirts and this added effect is both unique and flattering. Rather than having to tuck in a tee, it effortlessly lays over a favorite pair of denim, linen bottom, or skirt. I have the white one above and want to buy that black one—really like the boatneck too. Sucker for classics with a twist.
If you get me enough by now and my sartorial repertoire, you know that a light cotton button up is essential! I wear mine endlessly. With denim—sleeve rolled up, a simple chic sandal, and usually a dainty necklace or two. With linen bottoms—for a more casual and weekend look. With crochet skirt or shorts. Over swimsuits. It does a lot of s/s style heavy lifting for me. I suggest having a white one on hand (I have this one), a fun stipe, and there’s something about that light blue that I gravitate to so much.
Tortoise sunnies are a signature at this point. I usually love wearing either a squared frame or a little cat eye depending on my mood. Mastering the shape that works best with your face is key.
A fun shoe! I have been going on about my love for translucent shoes for years now. PVC, mesh—since I really love simple ensembles, shoes and bags are where I like to have my fun. Saw these floral mesh ballet flats and had to share, so cute! They remind me of my Khaite pair, a favorite.

Also a lover of sets! This top and bottom are a win in my book—to wear together and separately. Bottoms are a perfect example to wear with the cinched tees earlier in the post. Throw on a chic belt and simple sandal and you look put-together but so comfy.
Things in my closet I have been wearing endlessly that I highly recommend and think you’d love if you don’t already have: Tkees sandals (highly essential) and The Row Park Tote (you know you love something so much when you already have a couple other colors but question needing more… the brown is so good). For the garden, pool, beach, errands: Havaiana flip flops are also a must. The best.
More on warm-weather styling to come. Especially after this baby arrives and I can slowly start to fit into my clothes again! I can’t wait to reunite!! Have a beautiful day, guys, Speak soon!
In partnership with Nordstrom. Thank you for supporting the very select projects I take on that always align entirely with my style, taste and work. x
