Weekend Inspiration 01
Visual feast downloading!
Below is a little glimpse into what’s on my mind lately. A bevy of screenshots, products, good ideas, wish list items, home inspiration, and notes as to why these things in particular are living on my mental moodboard.
I’ve come to know the reason I prefer a neutral backdrop at home is simply because I need peace. Life these days can feel so fast-paced and overwhelming. Our generation is at the front line of a digital era that is distracting and chaotic. My home needs to be the opposite.
Love this kitchen! So grounding, cozy, therapeutic. The natural elements sing, in my mind that’s the goal! And so clear that each and every detail was thoughtfully considered and collected in the name of love.
Can you imagine it in the evening with that warm lamp on and a candle flickering? That is my idea of a happy place! I can feel the peace through the screen.
P.S. I love that there is no island pendant. I am SO particular about this topic - only like 2 very specific type of lights over islands—the one we have and one other style (dm me if you are curious). The little iron art lights are perfect.
If I were to choose one other tile contender for what we have in our kitchen it would be this! Class class class. The feeling of limestone underfoot is living.
I am really loving the sentiment “going analog”. Journaling and picking up my camera over my phone. Meeting up for coffee dates to catch up and then heading home to write. Fall is perfect for it. Having a book, cam, agenda on hand is a must for me lately.
If you’re hosting a dinner or are just needing to really treat yourself, buy 3 bouquets of garden roses from Trader Joes instead of 1. It takes it from a bouquet to a work of art. More striking and grand. Also varying heights makes it feel cool and effortless!
I love to buy the peach or light pink hue garden roses and will pluck off any outer petals that are wilted or looking less than lively. Trim the ends with a slight slant and change water every couple of days… they last weeks. Doing this until my tulips come back.
As you may know we are planning a primary bath reno (most likely in spring now as the holidays crept up too quickly!). For smaller spaces… if you have a standing shower and glass door like me and are planning a remodel, consider a bath! Personally I feel like it’s a better use of the space.
I’m a big bath gal, excited for the level-up.
I’ve been in a big vintage / secondhand shop mood lately. I love this style from Gucci and have been trying to track some down. I have something up my sleeve for you guys soon on this subject…
We are changing some things up in our dining and living room. I’ve been dreaming of owning a Guillerme et Chambron oak cabinet for a few years since I was introduced by Tamsin Johnson (the antique queen). How insane is this one?? The turquoise patina, too, it’s too much!
I saw this on Pinterest and thought it was so chic. What an heirloom-status weekender! I ended up finding it under the men’s section of Mytheresa. They have a sneaky assortment of bags in the men’s section I’ve noticed fyi (read: Celine, The Row and Saint Laurent… have a look!).
Oak is a theme. I saw this photo and realized that over the years I’ve talked about this idea a few times, think I actually need it in my life. A larger round table as a side table… always gets me! A catch-all for a gorgeous lamp and curiosities. I want this exact style, so my eyes are on the lookout.
You guys most likely know I am a big admirer of Isabel Lopez Quesada, this gal has a similar style. I really enjoy following along on IG.
One more example of a little corner table full of cool collectibles. It’s a moment, isn’t it? Love following Lorenzo, too, by the way. A vibe.
Back to being very particular with lighting… this one stopped me in my tracks. Contemplating a new light for over our dining table. I need more light than this will give… it would be better suited for a cozy bedroom. It’s spectacular.
More light wood musings… I discovered this maker many years ago. Might be our next big home investment in the new year. He has a handful of incredible styles. I love the color and every detail, really.

Needed a little creative palette cleanser after this last week of sick kids…
More this weekend! xx

Loved this post! Saved for future reference for sure. Also gotta find that leaf print tablecloth for the round table in my living room! Thanks for sharing your inspo.
Love that kitchen too 🤍
