6 things on rotation in the spring
I thought to write this post when a package arrived this week. The most perfect French-y stripe long sleeve number had me feeling like a very proud online shopper. Don’t you love when you have high hopes for a purchase—and it makes its way to you and exceeds those expectations?
Well this top is it — and the epitome of the kind of warm-weather piece that shines brightly in my eyes. I thought I would share a little list of favorites that share the same caliber to get your spring shopping off on the right foot.
A FRENCH STRIPE. The top that quickly became uniform-worthy is this light-weight and breezy beauty from Apiece Apart. They always have such great linen / cotton pieces this time of year, so be sure to peruse over there for some classics. P.s. the pants I’m wearing are slightly older Vince.
PERFECT TEES. A couple of my favorite t-shirts are noteworthy for sunny days, too. I love this one by Jenni Kayne and this one by The Great. I have been recommending these both for a long time now, so you may already know, but in case not they are simply perfect. I do have a new one I’ve added to my repertoire though—this one from Sold Out NY! (yes, they have completely won me over (the scoop tank has changed my life).
A BASEBALL CAP. Over the last handful of years (and regrouping from a youth full of tanning oil and some dabbling in tanning beds) I have become a big baseball cap gal. I always have one in my car, in my bag, on trips. I love them and have collected a couple of favorites. I have a few colors of the classic polo hat and wear them endlessly. I have it in denim, tan (like T Swift I noticed recently from her vacay with Trav), and red. One of my most worn baseball caps is from Oakville Grocery (a favorite little market in wine country)—a fun way to rep your mainstays. Don’t ever forget to check Etsy, too, customize one with name, place, phrase, etc.
EFFORTLESS FLIP FLOPS. Live in these $60 nude leather sandals — and if you click through to the brand page, there are lots of colors and styles. The most light, comfy, effortless flip flops ever.
A GREAT STRAW TOTE. I’ve said this a ton, but I take raffia very seriously. I invested in this bag a few years back and it still looks like new bc the quality is that good. It was less when I got it, and it’s paid itself off by how much I’ve utilized and love it. But honestly, there are so many gorgeous raffia bags online for much nicer price points — I just spent a few minutes browsing to show you some fave examples! 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 — I love raffia bags throughout the year (only rule I have is: not on rainy days), a core signature of mine.
LINEN PANTS. I always type in Reformation when looking for linen bottoms (okay all the linen things here) and just saw they have a new style which I am adding to cart!
My other go-to categories deserve their own post (denim, dresses, and fun sets)… so we will save for later. Hope you are having a beautiful day xx
